CSA is an acronym for Community Supported Agriculture. Becoming part of a CSA means that you're buying local, seasonal food directly from a farmer! Farmers offer "shares" of their crops to the public. The said "shares" typically come in boxes and are full of fresh vegetables, sometimes other farm products may be included with your share. Consumers purchase a share from the farmer prior to the harvest season and in return receive a box of seasonal produce every week. Some farms offer "partial" shares, egg and meat CSA's and more.
